I wasn't saying that Sarah Palin tried to fire the trooper, just talking about the impression people will have if they rely on the mainstream media's version. Thanks for posting the transcript from the Charlie Gibson interview. Was this omitted entirely from the broadcast version, or just snippets of it aired?

I think Sarah's explanation is reasonable and convincing, but most of the public may never get to hear it.

Just snippets aired. Most of it wasn’t. I particularly liked the part about Gibson’s assertion that she appointed members of the commission. She flatly denied it and said they were appointed by her predecessor. Of course, that was omitted by ABC because it would make Gibson look bad.
