I pointed this out last night. As someone who used to work in the film biz, I know the power of editing. Either the editor was an amateur, or the producer wanted the audience to feel disoriented by the jump cuts, Palin to sound incoherent by cutting her off in mid response, and Gibson to appear domineering over a beleaguered figure of Gov. Palin.

This is the kind of crap that made Leni Riefenstahl a master (mistress?) of propaganda. It was clearly intentional.

Which Riefenstahl interviews are you referencing? I was surprised by her film "Olympia" because there was so little nationalist propaganda, say, in comparison to Jim McKay's reporting for ABC.

From what I have seen, she celebrated the Olympic spirit and athleticism rather than Hitlerism, despite the pressures on her, as clip 1 and clip 2 illustrate, unless you consider the music an indictment. Have you actually seen any of her films? Curious.
