Wasn't there a special aired recently which showed sick cows being cruelly dragged to the slaughter ... stuff like that. Yes I agree. I think the animals should be treated better, and yes I also agree that it is probably an evil being perpetuated. Boy are we going to get pummeled.

Yep, you are probably going to get pummeled for saying that. Although I should add that it would be an honor to get pummeled along with you ....I love meat, I think humans are omnivores and thus meat has always been part of their diet (certain scientific studies show that human brain mass took a leap when our pre-human ancestors shifted to an omnivore diet from a vegetarian one), and I adore sitting down to a pepper steak with mashed potatoes and onion rings. However, that doesn't mean that the animal that died to provide me with the meat for that pepper steak has to be treated like crap.

I actually have a video on my laptop that shows people in China (I use the term 'people' very loosely) taking some type of raccoon-dog and skinning them for their fur. The thing is that they are skinning them while they are still alive, and then afterward throw the skinless animal (still alive) into a heap with others where they slowly die. (Note: when I say skinning i do not mean shearing ....like you shear the wool of a ship. I mean literally skinning the poor b@$tards ....removal of skin). The way they do it is they make incisions on the back legs and down the belly, and then strip the skin off like you would pull a sweater over your head. Those things are yelping like crazy (to prevent them from biting they are slammed onto the ground or jumped on several times).

Now, I know those guys want to make a living. I understand that. However, why not just put the animals out of their misery first. Kill the thing, and then skin it. It even appears that would be much easier (I know in my rural area when we skin the animal is long dead by then).

We may have dominion over animals, but that does not mean we should skin animals alive just to see them hop around (they were doing the skinning in front of some cages that housed other raccoon-dogs, which were seeing everything that was happening. Those caged animals were going bananas due to the sight and the smell). Hey, if people want to wear fur that is alright. Just kill the d@mn animals first.

Yes, I heard about the China skinning thing.....that just makes me sick. I agree with you wholeheartedly. We do have God given rights of dominion over animals and I DO eat meat too. But I don't think our Good Lord enjoys watching animals being tortured “needlessly”. If you're going to use them for whatever purpose, put them out quickly and painlessly as possible. Thats all I am saying.
