Most of us have seen the following picture, of the man falling from the burning towers, poised in an upside down plunge. Writers have opined many things regarding that falling man. Most feel he was plunging as victim toward his chosen death. None I've read have bothered--once it was established that the man in the photo is Norberto Hernandez, assistant chef in the Windows On The World restaurant--to pose the notion I'm about to offer:
When Norberto chose to plummet from the inferno, he likely had only the choice to be burned alive or die instantly from a fall of more than a thousand feet. That jump was no small, cowardly act. He chose to end his life his way, not as the result of victimhood. All that has been conjectured by journalists since the photograph burst upon the cosnciousness of the world.
But the one thing people have either missed or forgotten to notice is that Norberto is looking down! Why would a man watch the rushing, looming, deadly ground as he is about to be crushed by the impact at more than 150 miles an hour? I happen to believe it is because Norberto cared about others. He perhaps believed he could change his fall just enough at the end to avoid killing an innocent person on the ground.
Norberto Hernandez had the wondrous grace in his last moments to want to avoid hurting anyone else on this day of evil rising. He should be remembered for his grace, the grace of a free man trying even in his last moment of life to avoid harming any other fellow human being.

God forbid that anyone should ever have to be put in such a position.
I have that video and I thought the same thing. It about make me physically ill to realize that those explosive sounds were bodies hitting the ground.

I saw the same documentary, and heard those bodies too! I asked my husband,”Did you hear that?” and he nodded. We both looked at each other, and said at the same time, “It’s people.”
I will remember that sound the rest of my life. Absolutely chilling.

I remember hearing a recording of a woman who had dialed 911 who was screaming that she was burning alive and it makes me so angry I can’t see straight. I’ll NEVER forget.
That’s the sort of thing Olbermann and the rest of the anti-American left doesn’t want you to remember.
Whether the identification of this man is correct is irrelevant. I wonder just how many jumped, fell or were blown out of the building by the impact. Seven years later, and I cannot see this picture or any of the footage without tears and rage.
History Channel and MSNBC were running compilations of raw footage last night, and it struck me how conditioned we are by movies and TV to see things like this and not fully understand what we are seeing is real. I remember early on those watching the news with me refusing to believe there were bodies falling and people obviously burning to death above the impact points.
It wasn’t a ‘tragedy’ - it was an act of war. That anyone can see, even now, that footage and not have rage among their emotions doesn’t make sense to me.
You want to get angry all over again? Remind yourself of what happened yesterday in Islamic countries who support and lionize the murderers that perpitrated the murders were celebrating 911 yesterday and today!
THAT is an encylcopedia of reality, of how different the barbarians of Islam are from civilized peoples. When we Americans watch a documentary on August 5, 1945, we don't celebrate the death of so many tens of thousands of people incinerated in Hiroshima, we cringe, we have tears for those souls. Islamic primitives hand out candy to celebrate the murderings of 911.
THAT alone ought to tell we Americans that our nation needs to be energy independant, not sending billions to these barabric bastards with nothing in their souls except the spirit of their father, the father of lies a murderer from the start. Islam is demonic. The twists to the osuls of Islamics who celebrate murder is clear enough proof, yet we continue to dance with these people becaused of their oil, while we could be energy independant.
The democrap party has worked to keep us so completely tied to these primitives, in the absurd assumption that we are no different than they, no better than they, with no less moral imperative, as if the murderous bastards of Islam have moral standing in civilization! Time for them to go. Time to defeat the evil holding the democrat party. We are Americans. We aren't dependant upon primitives when we're healthy, why take the democrat approach which brings US down to the level of these primitives?
