They look more like dark CARC *Brunswick Green* to me, though in sunlight they do appear to be black from a distance or while moving. Of course the ones being used in the sandbox in Iraq and Afghanistan are painted sand tan/yellow.
All the conspiracy nuts circa 1995 need to account for all those black UN helicopters before they come up with new fantasies.
