I wasn’t offended in any way. I, in fact, made my own error. Syndrome shouldn’t be capitalized.

“So it would be “a child with Down Syndrome’, as opposed to “a Down Syndrome child”.So it would be “a child with Down Syndrome’, as opposed to “a Down Syndrome child”.”

I’m aware of this because I have two autoimmune “diseases,” both which can be controlled. There are folks who have what I have who want it phrased exactly the way you say. There are others who object strenuously to it being called a “disease.” I don’t care. I have what I have.

I do, however, like to get the name right.

Your OK, don’t let some people get you down.

Hey, I wasn’t offended because I don’t give a tinkers damn if the:Petty Nitpickers, Perpetual Grouches and those who are Habitually Offended have their feelings hurt.

Petty Nitpicker: to find fault, often unjustifiably, with insignificant details of something.

Perpetual Grouches: people who are habitually bad-tempered or complaining.

Habitually Offended: those people who will not sleep at night until at least one person has hurt their feelings.

For some reason many of the FReepers are out of sorts today.

For the women take A Midol and for the men take A FIFTH and get the heck out of the house.

GOOD POST!!!!!!!!!

BTW, does anybody know why Palin even had amniocentesis? She’s opposed to abortion under virtually all circumstances and the procedure itself carries some risk of harm to the baby, so why do it?

Thank you for the reply. I appreciate you clearing things up for me.

I was so excited about what I heard that I was typing faster than I was thinking. Plus, it’s a topic I’ve never written anything about before, obviously.

Thanks again.

Best wishes to you.

My wife had one when she was pregnant with the last one at the age of 40. It's standard for older women. Some problems can be fixed in utero. Besides, Sarah said she was happy to have the time to prepare for the birth.
