I am “able” to exercise. I am real good at making excuses not to but I’m working on that part too. I did a lot of yard work thru the late spring and summer. It paid off with dropping 11 lbs from May to Aug. My job has changed in a way that makes me walk the length of our huge warehouse more and I am continuing with my yard work as well.

My average is running in the low 100s (101-105 the last 30 days). But coming from the 275 range 6 months ago I am having a lot of hypoglycemic incidents with any amount of exercise.

My family history is another reason for me to be ashamed of my actions. There is a huge history on my mom’s side of family. My oldest brother (62) is the last of the 8 of us kids to be diagnosed with diabetes. One aunt and one brother were Type I and killed by it. I certainly knew better than to eat the way that I have the last few years.

I’m only a C student at best in life lessons but I do eventually learn.

My husband works with someone who is unable to give up pasta, bread and deserts. He can't seem to lose weight and recently started on insulin injections. I know it's hard.

Best of luck to you, FRiend.
