They just mentioned some delegates wanting to get off their bus (I’m assuming your friend’s bus?) and walk the rest of the way. They were told it’ll be alright since the “unrest” is in a different location than they’ll be going.
It sounds like the loonies are blocking road traffic in more than one spot. Some have been/are being arrested.

Hey, just called my friend... remember the scanner was on a 90 minute delay. Anyway, the delegates on the bus only had to walk a block to the hotel... They are now safe & sound, partying and listening to Guilani’s speech. Thanks for your help! The police, on the other hand, are still dealing with crazies... It will be a long night for them!
