Wonderful Delivery of President Bush (RNC)
opinion | 09-02-2008 | brianbaldwin

Bush’s delivery at the RNC, it was wonderful. His words on behalf of John McCain, there were some statements made which – frankly took my breath away. I felt it.

In fact, it was very moving, such that I cannot express how to say it or even type a posting in response, other than say - Thank you President Bush for such a eminent delivery.

Perhaps others can better express this. I don't care if this is vanity. I am speechless.

That was great. The video tribute to Reynaldus Magnus was outstanding also....

The President’s remarks were PERFECT for the time and place — I’m still teary eyed (as is my stoic husband)!

Yes, we will welcome you home! But why did you have to put your library at SMU? Fort Worth is much nicer place, and TCU is much more conservative than SMU !!
Regarless, the country owes GWB a huge debt of gratitue.
The historians will get it right long after today’s MSM “experts” are mere memories whose words will line the floors of parakeet’s cages and cat litter boxes!

The President and First Lady both did excellent jobs. Dubya hit a homerun!

For us overseas folks I would really appreciate being able to read a transcript or good summary when they come out.

Cheers

I agree, when Bush speaks from the heart he can be very eloquent, moving, and uplifting. This was a very solid delivery and you can just see the media watching closely for any flub they can play and replay over and over. What we got was a truly sincere from the heart speech. It also contained the sense of humor that is often understated with the “traded up” and “believe me, I know.” Sadly much of America has been robbed of the opportunity to get to know the true George W. Bush due to one of the the largest media smear campaigns I can think of. God Bless George and Laura.

I’m still shocked that the networks showed the President’s remarks via tape delay; of course NBC showed the remarks WITHOUT the audience reaction which detracted from the overall delivery — fortunately, ABCNews (the newscast with the largest viewership) did it right!
-
-
I’m also shocked that CBS just published a flash poll tonight giving the President HIGH MARKS for his handling of the Gustav hurricane situation — amazing!
[FYI: The job approval rating cited in the article is from a bogus CBS poll. Today Rasmussen put the President’s JA rating at 34% and he (Rasmussen) is still grossly oversampling Democrats — you will notice that as we get closer to November ALL of the polls will SUDDENLY discover that Democrats outnumber Republicans by a mere 2-3% among likely voters rather than the 6 - 12 point advantage given the Democrats today!]
