WRONG. Banks and credit card companies always show the LAST 4 digits of a S/S number and X replace the first 5. Her S/S number is now compromised. I would sue the bastards for invasion of privacy.

The problem is that commonly, they request the last 4 of your SSN in the clear. Therefore, it should be easy to put the two together.
