What would you expect from someone who depends on capitalizing the grief of others for their wealth and claim to fame?
I would not be so harsh in my assessment of Dr. Laura.
She has made her mark by advocating sound traditional values and morality. Nevertheless, I have noticed through the years Dr. Laura takes a rather idealized and doctrinaire position on the duties, roles, and responsibilities, of parents.
Further, I find her surety in expressing her opinions on parenthood somewhat ironic as she is the mother of only one child. As a good friend of mine says, "any less than three qualifies you a hobbyist, not a parent."
Frankly, I believe the only way to impart as much devotion to ones children as Dr. Laura seems to advocate is to only have one.
