“you don’t know that the absence of the mom at home hurt the daugther. 17 year olds will get pregnant. It’s as simple as that.”

Depends on how you RAISE them.

To RAISE them means being there.

Mr. Mom apparently didn’t have enough time nor did Mom.

so you would posit that a staunch Christian family, with a stay at home mom, never produces an out of wedlock pregancy. BS. people are fallen. that is reality.

and yet some who are there all the time and don’t work and raise them just the “right” way, and their kids STILL get pregnant.

ALL irrelevant anyway, Palin’s better than Obama let alone Biden.

Nothing like absolutes. Mind posting the logs showing the amount of time the Palins spend with their kids?

'Being there' is certainly critical, and it makes the important parts MUCH EASIER - but in and of itself, it's not nearly enough. If that were the case, churched families with stay-at-home moms wouldn't have NEARLY the issues they do. (Not to mention that would mean that all currently single-for-whatever-reason working moms would be automatically condemned to raising miscreants, with no hope of countering it.)

I recommend this book...I think you'll find that the reasons Christian kids have troubles go much deeper than simply measuring the amount of time they spend with someone standing over them.

Are you really suggesting that the parents of a 17-year-old are supposed to stand guard over them 24 hours a day? Are you suggesting that they are bad parents because of something their nearly-grown child did?
