I was happy to see a new source on the 'net...Pajamas Media doing some television.
But frankly I was a bit dismayed to see the cost involved. Seems a bit pricey to me. Anyone else feel the same way?
I'm all for capitalism. If they can make it work, then go for it. I'm just surprised the new venture is starting out at this seemingly high a level. Will it be offering something worth the price?
Cheaper than cable, if you don’t count the cost of the high speed internet connection.
If it doesn’t get commercial sponsors, then let it die.
Nope.
Between the Internet, C-Span, talk radio, and the occasional descent into the news networks (Don’t Go, Brit!) I get all the politics I can stand.
I believe the Daily KOS is already on some porn channel.
I can’t imagine paying for, or even receiving free, news to be delivered serially via video when I can have direct access to the articles that interest me via text online. Very few things need video to to convey a message in a way that cannot be conveyed by text. With FR for example I can skim stories very quickly and only dig deeper into the ones I find compelling. With video, I need to sit through a ‘personality’ reading the articles to me in a sequence they find interesting. Seems like a degradation of service rather than an enhancement.
