I contributed to both the Red Cross and the Salvation Army after Katrina. This time, it will be the Salvation Army, only.
The word "on the ground" in New Orleans after Katrina was that the Salvation Army had their act together, while the Red Cross didn't.

My bad experiences with the RC date to 1962. Ask any WW II vet what they think of the RC.....then duck.
