It was Ace's idea to put Paloma on the post. We didn't hear Jeff say it, but I think the rules required a woman to be put on the post for the second round. Kota only had two women in the challenge and Ace wanted to protect his ally Sugar by making sure she wasn't the one dragged across the finish line first. He also "reasoned" that they could afford to lose a reward challenge. Paloma should have refused to go along with it and said, "I'm the smallest one here. Sugar's bigger than me. She should be the one to go on the post."

The Kotas should have gotten rid of Ace that episode. Yes, he's a strong physical factor in challenges, but the Fangs don't have many physical threats to worry about. Dan and Matty are strong, and Crystal's as strong as any of the guys, but Susie's weak, Randy's older and not in good shape, Ken's skinny, and GC's small. If the Kotas keep pushing back Ace's dismissal, they may find they've lost the opportunity to get him out. They may go on an immunity run and be forced to resort to throwing a challenge just to get rid of him. Or there may be a tribe switch and Ace might be safely spirited away to the Fang tribe.

I was surprised to see that Corrine actually took Paloma's comments seriously. I thought the alliance of four had already agreed to vote Paloma out at that point. Maybe Corrine wanted to get rid of Ace but the rest of her alliance insisted on voting Paloma.

You summed up by thoughts exactly. (How’d you do that?) :-)

Maybe something got added or subtracted in the editing. Seemed like Corrine was making all the right moves and then...

Too bad.
