What about Kay Bailey Hutchinson??
I hate to admit it, but for once I think Bill Clinton got it right. Do you want to vote for someone that you agree with 100% of their positions but has no ability to get things done or someone that you agree with 50% of their positions and ability to achieve? McCain is NOT my first choice but... The choice we have here is no less than McCain vs Marx.
I hope we don’t elect Obama by our own infighting.
I’m in California, I’ll think about voting for McCain when someone can actually show me that California is within shooting distance of going to McCain.
Cue all the people who will now tell me “but everyone knows that California would never vote for a conservative” :-)
I'm not *fighting* anyone (and very few seem to have opposite opinions)
McCain is insisting on Amnesty. I'm insisting on not voting for a presidential candidate in 2008. (although not my only reasons)
He thinks he can win without my support. So be it.
Simply as that. A down-ticket voting I go.
Ironic you mentioned clinton, the last time republicans split and some went for perot we got stuck with 8 years of clinton, some say they will vote McCain as the lesser evil I will vote for McCain for the greater good.
especially with the way so many recent supreme court decisions have gone 5-4

Bush v. Gore held that the Florida Supreme Courts method for recounting ballots was a violation of the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. By a 5-4 vote, the Court held that no alternative method could be established within the time limits set by the State of Florida. Three of the concurring justices also asserted that the Florida Supreme Court had violated Article II, § 1, cl. 2 of the Constitution, by misinterpreting Florida election law that had been enacted by the Florida Legislature.

The Supreme Court invalidated the criminal sentencing system of the State of Washington on Thursday in a decision that also cast doubt on whether the 20-year-old federal sentencing guidelines can survive a constitutional challenge.
Bitterly split in a 5-to-4 decision that cut across the courts usual ideological lines, the justices continued a profound five-year-long debate over the respective roles of judges and juries in criminal sentencing.
