That’s admirable, but fortunately no need for that. We need more voters with wisdom and thoughtfulness like yours. Still, there should be the kind of requirements that you ennumerated above in your posting.

Regarding the military, I DO, however have feelings on that - I strongly believe that the ONLY 18 year-olds (or ANY under 21) who should be allowed to vote are those serving in the military. God knows these days, 21 is (too) young enough as far as voting, but 18??? A huge mistake - except for those in the military, as I said. They’re the only ones who have a right to a say at that age.

18 to 21 year olds dont vote anyway. Imposing such a ban would just induce apathy in future adults.
