Just be careful...the byproduct of dry ice “melting” is unhealthy.

Thanks for the ping NN, I have been following these threads with sympathy for you all in the way. With Gustav, however, we have been notified by the Red Cross to prepare to open shelters for evacuees from the NO area.

Is there a reason that Cuba doesnt get whacked more often? Casto doesn't allow Hurricanes if they came into Cuba they wouldn't be allowed to leave.

If Gustav keeps heading south before it makes a uturn he might have time to gain a big head of steam.

If Hanna is a TS by 11am, are you going to have separate threads, or just a combined one since they are so contemporaneous?

In previous hurricane thread another poster pointed out that before a major storm many people buy bread milk and eggs. This means that during a hurricane people make French toast.

The Red Cross has plans to open shelters in Tennessee, Kentucky and Georgia if a full scale evacuation is necessary.

I went to the store a few days after Dolly. There was very little in the dairy/cold depts but can goods, bread etc everywhere. Did people buy out the perishables or maybe Walmart didn’t order ...just seemed strange.
To: dirtboy
I am preparing a dual thread with data for both storms. It will be up shortly.
