I really dont think there is going to be a lot of trouble from the demonstrators. They will save that for the Repub convention.
Why demonstrate against one of their own????
Ahhh...there's your first mistake...you're thinking like a rational human being.
The majority of the dems are anything but rational or reasonable.
Go read some of the stuff on DU. They are vile, small minded, selfish, and mentally ill. And I do not say mentally ill in a pejorative way. I mean literally, they are mentally ill.

So now, who is HRCs VP pick? Why, NOBAMA, of course! Keeps his entire constituency aboard. And for him, ... it's as much as he ever imagined a year ago.

Would it help to take the light rail to work? The whole thing is going to snarl traffic terribly.
I live in Westminster(which I dearly love). So I'll have to take the express bus. Light rail doesn't come this far out.
I could see it taking 2 hours to go 10miles during the DNC in a car.

Why Denver? Why not Chicago
Chicago would have to see where the DEAD PEOPLE would go after the convention!

I was in Denver last week for the IAFC meeting. The fruits and nuts were already starting to trickle in.
What is the latest on the Somali that was found dead downtown with a pound of cyanide? It was all over the local news there and then just dissappeared. (must have just been an "isolated incident")

Not if the coup is based on his ineligibility to be POTUS.

There is an air of fear here. At that high altitude?

At that high altitude?
Nah, we got plenty of air... it's Colorado Springs that's in a vacuum.. 6k to 7k ft.
In Westminster it's gotten really humid here during the summer.. there really is a difference in the volume of air from 5k to 6k ft.
So yea..there's air enough to hold a lot of fear. But you know what's worse...that the country is in a shape it's in. Have we sunk so low that someone like BO could actually be our (their) President??
That's the most depressing thought I think I've ever had.

Yes of course, you’re right ....but I have made it this long without going to that garbage dump at the DU - I will just avoid that place if that’s ok.
Seriously - who is going to demonstrate/riot/cause havoc?
The anarchists - ok they go everywhere
Code pink? why? one of their own will be the nominee...
The greenies - that’s a possibility since they are truly mentally ill and won’t be happy til Nader is Prez....
Except for them, who?
The antiwar people would be true idiots to protest since again one of their own will be the Democommie nominee....
I just don’t get it re: who is going to cause trouble.
I could see the anarchists - but that’s really about it.
Either way, though, you will have a town full of Dems - many of them young - and just THAT alone does not bode well for your week ahead...
Keep us posted on what you experience first hand....

I’ll be working Graveyards in Golden on every single one of those days.
And I live just 10 miles upwind from downtown.
I feel for ya. Stay safe.

What anyone of sense would do is stay home.
The company should give everyone the week off with pay, and then send the DNC the bill.
No way I’d risk this. I live alone and have a dog to care for.

I agree with all your points more than you know.
My problem with Noriega is that it lasted for over a year. I never knew if I could get back home in the evenings.
Things would go from calm in the morning to dangerous in the afternoon. I too have always had pets which were/are my primary concern.
If things looked bad enough before noon, I would take the afternoon off and go home.
But not so fast.
I would then change clothes and dash out of my apartment and join the anti-Noriega groups out in the streets. But I was never too far from home
always within walking/sprinting/running distance.
Hey, I should have tried out for the olympics at that time.
