You’re the first person I thought of to whom I should post this question, but can you recommend a decent program to learn how to speak Spanish? It just dawned on me that maybe it would be a good idea to do so when I went to the local park with my son to enjoy the weather, and about 80% of the people at the park were Hispanic. I couldn’t understand 98% of what they were saying.

Any ideas?

My oldest son is studying Spanish with a program called “Tell Me More.” It’s an immersion-type computer program, and at first he said he wasn’t learning anything, but after two weeks he suddenly understands some things I say.

“Rosetta Stone” is another popular program. In my county, you can use it on the computers at the library, so you might call your public library to see what they have available.
