Bears eat roots and tubers. By nature, they’ve built up an impressive physical stature with extraordinarly stout forelimbs, shoulders, and skulls. Beyond that, they are a bit of a rooter. Cats, dogs, and anything that might remotely be confused as predatory, or simply “in charge” might serve to give most run-of-the-mill bears pause. Then again, during rut, or some other period of annoyance, they might not. They’re not predictable creatures.
