Being in a co-op, (Danish Creamery Association-Chowchilla) we received checks based on milk/butter fat production. More butterfat more money. It was a grade B dairy which meant no refrigeration on site. We cooled the milk cans with well water.

It's mostly a Co-Op here in the county. Humboldt Creamery Association at Fernbridge. Butter and dried milk products plus fresh for local consumption plus the Premium Vanilla at Costco.
