No, not just wood. I'm a scientific instrument maker. A glorified machinist of sorts, with access to all kinds of fancy machinery. Parts could be out of wood, metal, engineering plastics, glass and ceramics. I could make you a museum quality scale model. So, start going through your favorite UFO pics for a model, just in case this turns out to be the real deal. But, don't get your hopes up, Quix. There's no such animal as Bigfoot.

A tool I could use in pottery would be another matter. Maybe a ribbon tool.
I prefer to make big mugs—about 4-5” diameter and about 5-6” high. Would need to know if you prefer 2 fingers, 3 fingers or whole hand inserted in the handle and whether you are right or left handed, or not. I try to make the handles very ergonomic.
