My apologies. I did notice after posting that you had posted something about also using Macs. The initial opening comments came across that way.

No worries.
I enjoy my Mac, but I am not unhappy with my PC at work.
My macbook is a couple of years old and you may recall that there was an issue with overheating and improper shutdown. I remind my FRiends that these are also made in China, which is not known for high quality. Not to say that other devices are not built there too, but that quality lapses make me look back to the country of origin.
It was resolved for a long while, but now it’s back. I will have to call it in to Applecare. :p
BTW FileVault is a pain, let me tell you. The Applecare rep told me that it was not wise to use the file vault feature and that it was the source of my improper shutdown issues.
So older technology was probably built with better quality control, even if there are great new features now.
