Agreed. London is in deep doo-doo for sure. I am soooooo not pro-China at all...but their opening ceremonies from last night can’t be topped.

I couldn’t help think that if it was being held in the U.S. last night all we would be seeing is Jay-Z, P.Diddy, Rhianna, Dixie Chicks, Elton John, Solja Boy, booing of Bush in the crowd, booing of Cheney, cheering for Obama, McCain would be made to look like some old codger in a box with a hot dog and peanuts, and Spielberg intertwining something left over from one of his movies and tying it into a McDonalds promotion.

The opening ceremonies where executed with precision and had interesting aspects, but were much too long and totally boring.

I wish they would just go back to the athletes marching in and the lighting of the torch. One hour and over.
