I didn’t like those hats either. Poor choice. But the whole outfit was better than that disaster some years ago when they wore pinstripe suits, open collars and fedoras. They looked like a pile of con artist hoods.

Which I still think was better than this opening ceremony. But I’ll allow that it’s totally different cultures. Americans are used to a lot of music and noise. The Chinese seek tranquility.
