I’m not impressed with the opening ceremony as I think politics should be left out of the games. But in this military symbolism as portrayed, I keep wondering when they will bring the tanks to the floor.

There’s a reason these Olympics in China are on 8-8-08. Eight is a VERY important number for the Chinese. The sound for the word ‘eight’ is similar to the sound for the word prosper or wealth.
There is a "number's lady" that is a frequent guest on George Noory and Art Bell where she said that "8" means wealth and if you take a piece of paper, write and "8" on it and put it in your wallet, your money problems will disappear.

Those commie’s put on one hell of a show! I keep channel surfing at the commercials but end up coming back to see whats next.
BTW, there was an amazing show on Discovery channel or somewhere last week on the construction of the “birds nest”, very impressive!

In my office building, we have this little shop run by this couple from China. They have a daughter and are Christians. They are thankful they got out before the daughter arrived! Wonderful people. The husband has a picture of John Wayne next to the cash register. LOL
