It's sweet crude in what is effectively limestone (if I recall correctly).
I have asked this guy multiple times to take me off his list and he just won’t do it. I am pretty fed up.
For now it will the SD refinery will be refining Canadian Oil, down the line it will be excellently placed for refining Bakken Oil
No mention here of these technological problems with Bakken. Are you sure it is Bakken and not some other formation you heard this technological problem about? They are currently producing out of Bakken according to this.

I am conscientious about pings and don’t recall your ever contacting me at all, about anything. I’ll make sure you’re off my lists.
Meanwhile for every post you can find that shows you ever previously asked to be off my list I’ll donate $10 to FreeRepublic. How much money can you help raise?
Have a great day. I’m going to. I was going to be cynical but that wouldn’t have worked out....
When news of the Bakken hit a few months ago I read an extensive industry analysis from an investment standpoint. I don't remember where it is and don't have time to look it up right now, but it was impressively thorough. Suffice it to say that although it is a lot of good oil, it won't come fast or cheap. As I dimly recall, the total recoverable amount was in the 4 billion barrel range while total reserves were on the order of 14 bbl but I could be quite wrong there.
Will do. Now making forwarding list of over 300 million names...if your request is just for people in the US.
Thanks Spirit.
Absolutely. The youngest one in operation was built in 1976 and many operate at near 100% capacity, which is unreasonable.
And let’s not forget the 46 blends they have to make. (wish I had a rolling eyes gif) lol
The fact is that the industry doesn’t know. They never know, even with limited reservoir size in a known geologic trend.
We constantly are revising reserve estimates based on actual performance of the wells. They can suddenly water out when you thought they’d produce another 15 years. They can produce more than you thought could possibly be contained within the trap.
We’ve got wells that are still producing after 60 years or more, and some that came on with huge rates a few months ago that are dogs today.
The one thing to believe about reserve estimates is that you shouldn’t believe them.
ANWR may have no commercial reserves at all, or it might be 10 times bigger than Prudhoe Bay. We won’t know until we drill and then produce for several years. Only with a well history of a couple of years can your decline curve be giving much credence.
“Hunter says when OPEC tightened the spigot, we were getting oil out of shale. When Opec saw that, they opened the spigot back up. Opec wants to keep us dependent.”
And imagine how loose the spigot will be when we start drilling from ANWR and offshore.
“I also believe we MUST concentrate on Congress, “
Right on, now more than ever.
We see how Nancy Pelosi could cause many Americans to freeze to death in their own homes.
Yup. He said the shale oil operators went bankrupt or nearly did. The shale oil operators couldn’t match Opecs price. Dirty, dirty trick.
“The shale oil operators couldnt match Opecs price.”
That makes me FURIOUS!! So now OPEC gets American dollars instead of AMERICANS, and some of that money will be used to harm us.
That's what Hunter said about Chavez oil money, Russian bought weapons aimed at Americans.
“That’s what Hunter said about Chavez oil money, Russian bought weapons aimed at Americans.”
We GOT to get rid of the liberal obstructionists. They’re killing us.
We’ve got to work on this issue to gain back the House this election.
Sorry I missed it. However, I did vote for him by mail, just before he dropped out. He STILL has my vote.
I missed it but thanks for the ping!
I’m always happy to get a Hunter update!
