I have 3 of them NIB for 'rainy day' money. Plus I have a one for me that is getting the full works as time and $$$ permit.
I have a Colt Competition Gov't(Blue Box) from the Custom Shop that is a real tack driver. That one has taken it's share of dogs and yotes

Or how about the Kel-Tec PLR-16?
I have one and it's sweet. Takes any AR magazine. About $500.

I'm not up on regs, but I'm assuming it doesn't have a collapsible stock b/c it'd then be considered a short barreled rifle? What to the regs say about a foregrip handle?

What is gun culture? The hobby and historical recounting of firearms throughout history.
To be a firearms enthusiast there is a common denominator amongst this fraternity. WE know what we support. WE know what firearms mean to the cause of freedom.
Gunowners have a culture of their own, little understood by the layman, and never understood by the anti-gunner.

Since I have been collecting for the last 30 years or so, I have had the opportunity to handle almost all of the 'black guns' out there. Each has it's own character and likable functions.
For all the ones I own, I haven't found one AK clone I really like. It's out there, I just need to pick the right one.

I'm collecting opinions on DoubleStar AR’s. Good, bad, or indifferent. Anyone?

Lucky you. I’m relativly new to the AR club. Slowly working on my second OLL build, and being in CA sucks.

I`ve got a HK-93,a real nice gun tho a tad heavy,Don`t
think its ever mis-fired.
These pre-ban HKs have increased in value for sure
I turned down $2,500 for mine last year

Looks like a well made rifle. I haven't seen one of these, however, the prices are somewhat lower than for, say, a Bushmaster. I am using the M4A3 as the comparison. $954.95 vs $1300
If the fit and finish matches the descriptions, it should be an excellent platform.

No stock, right. No foregrip handle allowed either, that would make it a class 3 AOW. However...
Here's it all tricked out. The mag is a little close to the pistol grip, but still makes for a fine place to put that leading hand. Holding it pushed out against the sling steadies it pretty well too.
Meant to say in the first post that it's gas-piston also.

I've been debating between a Bushmaster, RRA, and DoubleStar. All in the M4A3 configuration with the DS running about $200 less. That would at least cover the cost of a good quad-rail and a basic red-dot optic. I've had a hard time finding anything negative about the DS.
