Ready to pop: Heavily pregnant Gwen Stefani does some last minute shopping before baby

Just days before she is expected to give birth to her second child, heavily pregnant Gwen Stefani has been doing some last-minute shopping.

The No Doubt singer, 38, and husband Gavin Rossdale, 42, enjoyed an afternoon shopping in Los Angeles with their two-year-old son Kingston.

Last summer, The Sweet Escape singer spoke of her wish for a brother or sister for her son Kingston and how much she enjoyed the pregnancy process.

She said: 'Obviously I'm in a race to have another, but I don't want to do it while on tour.

'But I can't wait to get pregnant again. It's so fun and consuming and romantic.'

Since giving birth to Kingston in a Los Angeles hospital in May 2006, Gwen has been inseparable from her adorable toddler.

She enthused: 'I definitely don't get enough sleep, but I'd rather spend time with him. I've got this extra-fun, amazing, little guy who just wants to hang out with me.

'I love him so much. He's the best thing that has ever happened to me.'

As an apparent swamp-dweller, I must confess that I've never heard of this lady, nor do I know what she does or why she is in the news.

I wish her well as I do all the pregnant mothers I never heard of. >p>But still, why her?

She was the lead singer of No Doubt, a multi-platinum-selling ska-punk band, and she later had a multi-platinum solo career. No Doubt is now back together and has a new album coming out next year.

The reason I find her so extraordinary is, unlike most of your other female pop-stars, she never gets in trouble, never had drug problems, never got arrested, and his happily married to the father of her children (in addition to being gorgeous and very talented).

I searched and found numerous sites discussing whether she had a boob job or not. Nothing conclusive with lots of arguing back and forth. Some say it's because she was pregnant. Others say it was a very good surgeon and she did not want them too noticeable. Judging from the pictures I'd say she had a small boob job. Or she used to wear sports bras a lot. Anyway I didn't know she used to work at a dairy queen with her future band mates. Thats cool. Can't imagine a lot of these spoiled pop tarts working at anything but getting into trouble. I guess she had to work for her fame and appreciates it.

ok.. I used to watch Baretta and Kojak in the 70’s and they used to talk about $50 hookers

so I figured they would prolly be about $200 today with inflation and all
