As a licensed LEO, I would suggest looking into some law enforcement equipment sites also one of my favorites is Botachtactical.com (sorry, not too good doing links) as well as sportsmansguide.com they are both really good at getting you started and have frequent sales of holsters and shooting supplies.
Ankle holsters may be the best mode of carry if you are driving a vehicle for a living such as a cabdriver.
