I find it rather amusing that those who put SO MUCH FAITH in science, do not see their views as being faith based.

Faith based upon facts---it's called science.

Sorry sir, you are incorrect. Science proceeds on faith in OBSERVATIONS not facts. Allow me to provide you the definition of science:

systematic knowledge of the physical or material world gained through observation and experimentation.

Therefore, those that choose to believe in science have to accept on FAITH an number of presupposition. First, you must believe or accept on faith that what is observed is truth. This is a critical tenant of science because the moment you accept that there are things unknown that can’t be observed, then science can no longer govern that area.

The second tenant of FAITH in science is that the universe is systematic. This is critical because if there is an instance were things are not systematic, then the purpose of science is no longer valid.

Science is simply a belief system. And like many religion’s, it’s true believers will not allow room in their world for any challenges.
