Sheeesh Doggie, I had to go a long ways back to find your post of those very nice links. Thank you, they were lovely.
I have been a bit tied up with my Granddaughter and her husband lately. They are into the family genealogy and have needed a lot of info to start. Of course it involves a lot of coffee, dessert, and just plain gabbing, lol. It's fun and they are very good at what they do, so it's thrilling for me. Al's side is already done, so they are tackling mine. Hmmmm....wonder what they'll find?? ;)
Morning Grannie,
More Lurkin than Postin lately,
My wife is into genealogy; she put mine together back 200 and some years, till my Tarwater ancestors from England fought against the British in the Revolutionary war.
Her ancestors go back through an area of Mexico where the records are undisturbed from the time the first Spanish priests began recording marriages, births, deaths and baptisms in the 1600s. She has thousands of names in a massive chart going back 400 years.
Here's a pic of her taken last week at a beautiful place called Haystack Lake in the High Uintas, saw no one for a day up there, and this is just a minute before sunset.
I got church in 8 minutes -- gotta speed up there.
My son has done this for the family..It’s fun to drag out all my mother’s old stuff, letters , pictures and review family history..He has done this for years...and printed it all out for me and others.
It’s amazing what one can find on the internet..I went to the library and helped a bit pre internet days.
