Thank you, jaycee. I got my days and nights turned around staying up til the wee hours watching the Olympics. I had a 7 hour nap and that really messed up my schedule!

Thanks for the report..I cannot bear to watch him..McCain clearly won the Saddleback meeting..I watched Obama grudgingly on reruns..after I saw McCain’s session.

McCain hit it out of the park for sure. Fingers and toes crossed!
My computer is hateful this morning.

I'm not sure how they do it, but it's worth a try.

Despite the fact we live in the same city, I don’t know Laura. Judging by her copyright date, I presume she lost her father before 9/11. Your comments were heartfelt.

So sweet and touching; the poem and the beautiful lady at the sewing machine. It made me cry. Since my mom passed away, I cry at the drop of a hat. :-(

Thanks for the information. After a re-read, I thought there was a chance that you knew her, or that she was a FReeper.

I understand, Lori! I always tear up (really) in the Hallmark card commercials! And when I was looking at that picture, it reminded me of my sweet mother. She sewed all her life and was a talented lady. She made all my evening gowns during high school. I would draw a picture of what I wanted and she would get a pattern and do her thing on it to make it like I wanted. I always wanted a 'store bought' evening gown, but all my friends said they were jealous of my original gowns. When I look back, I realize how beautiful they truly were!

So sorry we missed your birthday, Kitty. Hope you had a wonderful day and that your year ahead will be blessed with all things bright and beautiful!

Thank you for our Daily Bread this morning, Mr. Mayor.

Re: your rain. My brother lives in Columbus, GA and they are on a water restriction now for watering outside, etc.
To: jaycee
Oh, jaycee, that is so special that you have such wonderful memories of your talented mother. Sounds as though you were blessed with a loving and giving mother. I was too. I never knew one day on this earth that I did not feel love from her.
To: OESY
Good morning, OESY. Thanks for being here and for all you do to keep Amy’s Place rolling along. :-)
