The great teams win those games, normy. Kind of like P. Manning, until he won the big one, the book on him was that he was really good, but not great.
If you look at all NFC teams, the Seahawks have been the most consistent team over the past 6 years and are poised to win it all this year.
When you have Julius Jones running blindly into the back of your O linemen and falling down it’s kinda hard to establish a running game. This you will see. The Hawks will be greatly disappointed in the guy. Too bad, I like him. He’s a good guy but Parcells destroyed his game, plus he’s bulked up too much, significantly diminishing his speed and quickness. So they will be forced to depend on the passing game, and they don’t have superior talent to swing it.
I’m going with the Cardinals to take the division this yr. Seattle goes 9-7 in a very weak div.
Hasslebeck threw for almost 4000 yards 28 touchdowns and 12 picks with the exact same receiving core they will have this year. Defensively Seattle has improved and offensively they have improved the O line.
I know what kind of runner Jones is, I live in the Dallas area and have for the majority of my life. I just know that NFL fans don't respect the Hawks and it doesn't make sense.
Arizona didn't improve in the off season. The division is weak. I have Seattle losing only to NYG at NY, NE at home and Dallas at Dallas. Now they could win any of those games and lose others but those seem fair.
Seattle beat Tampa at Tampa last year and they will again this year. They beat Philly at Philly, they have them at home this year. The east coast games are against Buff and Miami. They have a Favreless GB at home and 6 games in their division. If Sea pulls an upset in Dallas they will have home field and they will probably win the NFC.
Embarrassing only begins to describe their season this year.
Their defense couldn’t even come close to handling the Giants yesterday... And their running game, like their passing game was just horrendous.
Final score: 44-6 (Giants)
What a trainwreck. Our defense looked shockingly bad.
I didn’t blow it, I typhooned it.
What do you think about the Cardinals now?? Do you still think the Bears will win the division??
Giants 7-9
Redskins 4-12
lulz
Hey, it’ll happen. The local sports bums, er, writers, haven’t done too well either. Brian whatshisname, writing for the GR Press, admitted defeat in today’s paper, and has now dumped his earlier predictions in favor of new ones. The only way to get it right every year is to write articles predicting every possible Superbowl matchup, under a variety of different pen names, and then parading around as a genius with the one which by chance was correct. And of course, living under that pen name for the rest of your life.
and re: the Lions at 6 and 10 — Brian also speculates that the team may go 0-16, and sized up the chances against their remaining opponents. They lost to Chicago today, and like at least one earlier game, the Lions looked like they had it in the bag.
