If the Republican nominee were like Obama, but opposite...

Posted on 07/29/2008 8:23:38 AM PDT by Feline_AIDS

As I’ve been watching the Obama campaign, which I’ll admit I haven’t been doing very closely because of the feelings of malaise doing so sends over my body in waves, I’ve marveled at the way so many people have been taken in by B. Hussein. And it’s started me on a path of thinking, “What if the non-democratic, presumably Republican candidate had an equal but opposite background, with equal but opposite radical opinions, and an equal but opposite record? What would that look like?”

Such a candidate with ties to say the KKK, direct ties to say non-repentant abortion clinic bombers, and member in long standing with a blatantly racist, white-seperatist chuch would have been completely out of the race long ago...in fact would never have been able to so much as garner votes in any primary, and understandably so.

The left is hypocritical and anti-American, and racist to its core and the MSM supports them in this, and is completely partisan in its reporting of the same.

Those are the disgusting and shameful conditions we operate under, but they are conditions that with talk radio, email, the internet, and word of mouth, that we can overcome and help inform others.

The majority of Americans are still good, moral, and thinking...and committed to the fundamental moral principles that underly this Republic. We just have to get the word out to them.

BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA, CHANGE YOU CAN COUNT ON, BUT DON'T WANT

THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH ABOUT BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA

“I’ve marveled at the way so many people have been taken in by B. Hussein”

Who’s been taken in?

I see Obamania merchandise (much like Beatlemania novelties) but I can’t recall seeing a single Obama bumper sticker on a car (I see them on traffic light poles and otherwise illegally posted). I see the Obama campaign office.

But I don’t see all of the campaign signs and stickers that I saw for Kerry. Maybe after the convention when the VP nominee is announced but for as many people who are supposedly GA GA for Obama, I just don’t see it.

And I don’t hear people in restaurants talking about Obama either. I hear some liberals griping about Bush/Republicans (conservatives have gripes too but they are different in nature) but I don’t hear SUPPORT for Obama.

In the primary I did hear some people talking about how they were happy to have Hillary in the final running.

The media is TELLING us that Obama is strongly supported.

The media also TOLD US that Michael Dukakis had a viable shot at the White House too over George HW Bush.

Well, you could look up the newest Republican Senator, John Barrasso of Wyoming, and he positively creams Obama with practical real world experience. In addition, he's modest and low key. The biography on his senate page barely skims the surface of what he has actually accomplished in his life. But I'd venture to guess not even 10% of the people on this political savvy forum have even heard of Senator Barrasso.

The majority of Americans are still good, moral, and thinking...and committed to the fundamental moral principles that underly this Republic.

Where do you get these ideas?

The majority of Americans are lazy, uncaring, apathetic sheep who WANT government to care for their every need. They WANT socialism and have yearned for it since it was promised them in the 1960's. They couldn't care less about the troops, the economy, the country, the future, or you.

Don't believe me? Look at the current makeup of Congress - that's what the majority voted for. The schools being transformed into indoctrination centers? That's what the Sheep pay them to do.

I will never trust the Sheep again.

I get these ideas from my own travels all over this country talking to people, my own knowledge of the history of this nation, and my own faith in the basic values and rpinciples that undergird this Republic..

It is true that we have a much too large segment of the population that are absolutely bought and paid for and either living off the public largess or contributing to the delinquency of those who do...but there are more people who still work, who still rasie decent families, and who continue to hold to the values that make this country great.

Sadly, many of them do not want to be bothered by the political process (and it has always, from the founding, bbeen that way) and go on about their way. But when they get things brought to their notice, they respond accordingly.

We proved that in the last election against Kerry. I never thought I would see the day when 59 million people in this land voted for the likes of that man...but we got 65 million people out to vote the other way.

We are going to have to be more effective this time...but those people are out there and we can get to them. It is my intent to do all in my power to help make that happen.
