As for me, I am Catholic and my wife is Jewish, we have two kids. Would if be okay for us to have 18 more kids or do you only approve of such actions by those whose faith you agree with?

Not that I believe that you need my approval, but I would be delighted if you did.
Of course, I've never heard of a mixed marriage that produced that many children, probably because of the nature of mixed marriages.

Again, I am not scared of the world having more people in it. If you want to tell him that you can also tell him that I am praying for him to embrace Jesus as his Lord as well.

Their pastor should be encouraging them not to use contraception. That is his job - yet a pastoral imperative more often honored in the breach than in the observance.
I wanted a lot of kids but we stopped at 3.....I wish we had more in many ways....
