and can't move to a less populated area when their family grows. An unfortunate fact: In MI right now, you can't do that, unless you are financially able to carry two mortgages or are willing to walk away from your house. Our home has been on the market for three years now, no relief in sight.
It's not always that easy.

An unfortunate fact: In MI right now, you can't do that, unless you are financially able to carry two mortgages or are willing to walk away from your house.Okay, Detroit is a unique case, but I'm pretty sure even in the down market, you could sell your house in San Diego, Los Angeles, New York, San Antonio, Houston, Phoenix, Miami, Boise, and Chicago. If you bought 2 years ago, it might be a problem, but you plan a family more than 2 years in advance right?
