Is it common for strangers to walk up to women with children in airports and ask for the child's name and age?

I think this is nonsense from crazy grandma trying to cover for crazy daughter.

these people are all crazy but a tip like this is easily verified....there are only so many flights out of Orlando to Atlanta....the airline should be easy to find out....
