Um, yeah, but . . .

The actual reference is more likely to be to Hitler taking over Sudetenland and Czechoslovakia. That was when Chamberlain agreed to those takeovers if Hitler promised not to go any further, and then went home to proclaim "Peace in our time."

With, as anyone but a socialist might expect, similar results to those in the little story.

I have come to believe that Obama is indeed closer to Marxist (traditional Communist) than Leninist (International Socialist), because he truly doesn't care where international borders are drawn.

As one might expect, the loudest proclaimers of International Socialism - i.e. Lenin and his disciplies - were in fact National Socialists indistiguishable from fascists in any meaningful way. He wasted no time in declaring that while he was busily bringing about true "International" Socialism, the homeland of socialism (that is - the Russian nation) must be protected. Thus, he morphed into a National Socialist (that is, "Nazi") as soon as he gained power.

Then proceeded to do the same sorts of 'grab some and make 'em accept it' aggression as Hitler.
