Same old, same old; Here we go, Our mainstream media (in this case, tax payer funded) is setting the stage for the notion we just are not a fair society in Ohio. Ohio has the 5th highest combined tax burden in the nation and a regulatory climate that absolutely precludes any Business from even considering Ohio. Ohio is hemoraging jobs and population to tax friendly and right to work states. This is a Bipartisan problem. Under Taft, the state continued its slide and our Governor now(Strickland) is proposing to remedy the situation with new spending of course. He has proposed that the tax payers fund more Post Secondary education and has completely raided the tobacco settlement fund to do so. Note to Ted: Don't you think that company's will just recruit our talent to leave to other states? The migration out of Ohio, leaves only those people that are inclined to vote the same way they have been lately. So, like Michigan; last person out, turn out the lights.

She is 40 years old, never worked, two kids, no mention of a male figure in the household, her siblings are unemplolyed, hint at daughter getting pregnant for more cash. I get the picture and it disgusts me. I also found myself a single parent with two small kids. The difference is I worked. I missed out on alot (first days of school, field trips etc). I choose not to be part of the system.

Water and vitamins for 10 years ought to do it. But the truth is....we’ll probably have to pay for a fat reduction operation.

Nunez and most of her siblings and their spouses are unemployed and rely on government assistance and food stamps. You live in a small town in the low income part of town and have an extended family who also don't earn an income...
Remember when people used to migrate to where the jobs are?
But just as some people won't leave a bad job because their don't want to lose their healthcare coverage, some people won't leave a bad employment situation because their lose their assisted living status.

Is there some reason that the concept of meat in Ohio has been posted 7 or 8 times in 2 days?
I still haven’t read about it, but I’ve seen the topic go back at least a few times. Now it is sort of like Titanic, I refuse to watch it so I can strive to be the only person in the USA who hasn’t.
So if it is a different Meat in Ohio story I apologize.
I would have thought the Stripper Pole in Louisiana story would be the one to get the big push....interesting.

They are pretty hefty to be complaining about not being able to afford meat or ice cream anymore.

Reminds me of that woman who complained of the living conditions in HUD housing. A picture of her in her government provided home showed she had new furniture and a big screen, flat panel T.V. hanging on the wall.

It is cheese and whine from State funded media, NPR, putting out the day’s Progressive Democrat talking points.
This thread has a link to Michele Malkin’s rebuttal.
Long story short, extended family of dead beats can’t buy as much as they used to on food stamps. Used to get 12 bags of groceries for $100. And that was probably your money as they don’t work.

It is a shame that there are no soup kitchens or food banks in Fostoria. Or that they can’t relocate to Toledo.
I doubt that the Amish are having meat shortages or insufficent money from the government to feed themselves.
