If the system manages to strengthen into a tropical storm, with winds of 39 to 73 mph, the NHC will name it Cristobal.

Why do they call them “invests”? Is it because any mention of a tropical storm in the Gulf is good for a $20/barrel increase in oil? Better they should call them “speculates”.

I have been in the Caribbean several times and have never been depressed - quite the opposite actually.

The increased distance from clueless Yankees in the MSM was very refreshing.
