I don't like Clayton Morris on Fox and Friends
Fox and Friends

Posted on 07/14/2008 3:55:15 AM PDT by ConservativeMan55

Clayton was talking to Rush yesterday about Barack Obama's ears.

Clayton said "What do we gain by talking about his ears?"

Rush explained that Maureen Dowd originally wrote a column about his ears and that Rush was responding to it.

Clayton just kind of blew his answer off.

Then again this morning Clayton again brings up the ears thing.

"What does Rush gain by bringing up his ears?"

BUT HE DIDN'T INCLUDE RUSH'S ANSWER! UGH! THAT'S SO ANNOYING!

The other hosts didn't work the weekend so they didn't even know Rush had responded.

Then he later called the Treasury Secretary "Hank Paulson"

And he's trying to be too funny. This isn't Red Eye.

Clayton Morris should take a few cues from Julian Phillips.

If you're annoying and wrong most of the time.. you will soon be out the door.

I canceled FOX from my cable service subscription after their blatant sandbagging and disrespect shown for Congressman Duncan Hunter during the primaries.

Screw FOX, Rupert Murdoch is no friend of conservatives, and his vaunted ‘fair and balanced’ network has become a parody of itself.

Who is Clayton Morris? He’s a nobody I’ve never heard of.

To Hell with him, he’s not even a pimple on Rush’s azz.

You know, I always liked Julian, and miss him. Especially after seeing this fella...

Between him and Gretchen, it's unwatchable. In fact, the entire channel is going down hill. Over the weekend when they were covering the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac story, whoever Fox had covering the story referred to Fannie Mae as FRannie Mae about 20 times. The first time I thought she just misspoke but after the third time it was obvious she had absolutely no idea about that which she was reporting. She never did correct herself which tells me no one at Fox knew it was an error either.

Julian is like this putz..

He’s always getting things wrong and doesn’t include both sides.

Phillips would called President Bush just “Bush”

Oh my gosh I noticed that too!

Some of their reporting does need a little fine tuning.

Don’t get me wrong I’m grateful for Foxnews.. but it does need a little work.

I too saw that interview, and the “ears” subject was just one in a long list of things which Clayton mentioned.

His point was, does it make any difference to talk about: the flag pin, Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, the fist bump, etc etc.??

The first time Clayton asked, Limbaugh seemed to not hear the question, and then when the question was repeated, it was just about the “ears” ... and left out the other subjects..... even though the ears were the most irrelevant and silly thing to include.

It was a legitimate question that unfortunately got shortened and twisted around

Yes, it was sort of an awkward interview. Limbaugh’s interviews on Fox & Friends usually go extremely well.

This one, it seemed Limbaugh had a hard time hearing the questions, and that’s what seemed to make it fall flat.

Clayton Morris has a bit of an “ears” problem himself, which might explain his obsession with the topic as it relates to Obama.

The main point is most important, which is that he’s not paying attention to what’s going on outside his F&F gig but he’s making ill-founded remarks about it.

Not a good career move, agreed.

Rush heard the question and answered it!

Rush said he was responding to a column by Maureen Dowd.

He wasn’t just bringing Obama’s ears up for the heck of it.

My beef is that Monday morning (this morning) Clayton brought up the story again WITHOUT including Rush’s response.

Not really anything that happened on Sunday.

this new weekend crew is unwatchable. as bad as julian, mike and julia were, i could at least stomach them. Tony Snow died and these three were so new, not one of them even knew or had met Tony. pathetic. they were scrambling to get people to comment on his passing, because the three of them were worthless.

Or Mondays.

I agree. I think the only reason they were left in place for the weekend was because there wasn’t time to bring in other hosts.

In the 6 a.m. hour, they played Rush's entire response..."his mobster, terrorist friends...his religion...his wife, etc."

Clayton is trying sooooooo hard to be Steve, the funny one, and he is incredibly dull. One of the reasons I never tune in on Saturday. I don't know who is worse--the guys or the ditzy blondes. It was so telling yesterday as the weekend crew sat there while others remembered Tony--an accomplished man, a real journalist, writer, speaker, host. These kids have a lot to learn.

The way it worked out made it seem that somehow Rush was usually talking about Obama’s ears, or that somebody on the conservative side is, which isn’t the case.

Otherwise, why asked about if it make sense to talk about his ears, and ask it of Rush - the absolute icon of conservative talk radio?

To put it in with substantive issues such as Wright and the flag pin etc is also wrong in my view.

Mort Kondrake wrote an important piece questioning “Who is Barack Obama?” That’s the burning question and his ears don’t relate to it whatsoever, but Wright and the others strongly relate.

Morris needs to get his head on straight or he’s going to tick off a lot of viewers that FNC is lucky to still have.

They played the list of things but they didn’t include Rush’s response to Clayton’s question.

Clayton said what do we gain by talking about Obama’s ears?

And on Sunday Rush responded by saying “Maureen Dowd wrote a column and I responded to it”

That part was not replayed.

You're a racist. I love Brussells sprouts. With cheese sauce. On Mondays, too.
