Pima County, Arizona, Legal Defender Isabel Garcia is filmed at a protest encouraging the beating of an effigy of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio. She is later filmed carrying the effigial head and generally ranting.

Sheriff Arpaio, who has achieved some significant national attention for his "tent city" prisons, was in Tucson for a book signing.

Isabel Garcia is the Pima County Legal Defender. The official mission statement of her office is as follows: "To provide quality legal representation in crimainal proceedings brought before the Pima County Superior, or Arizona Appeals Courts for the protection of the civil liberties and rights of indigent individuals, as guaranteed and set forth in the Constitutions of the United States of America and the State of Arizona."

It would appear that Ms. Garcia may be concerned that if Sheriff Arpaio continues enforce the laws of his State and Country she will no longer have anyone to defend.

Why is a ditzy county employee in PIMA county worried about what the sheriff of MARICOPA county is doing? What goes on in MARICOPA county is none of her damned business. She needs to shut up and do the job she is being paid taxpayer dollars to do.
