Actually, I haven't had any problems with my two Vista machines until last night. Evidently, if the settings for autodownload are enabled, as on one of my systems, Vista takes over until it's finished.

Had to put in a report on that one, since the other PC on Vista doesn't do that with the setting at Download and install at logoff.

If anyone goes back as far as DOS 6.0, you remember the nightmares that started, and the length of time to get them all fixed. What I find funny is all the XP users crying about an update after they swore XP was a 'solid' OS finally.

It's Microsoft, anything can happen.
