I think the US citizenship was helped along by marrying Tom Cruise, an American and helps in the movie making business and frequent travel to the US. But I think the main part of the dual citizenship was from marrying an American.

Marrying a US citizen doesn't automatically make you one.It once did but today there are many,many hoops through which you must jump before you get citizenship.
