Mitsubishi also says the sets, which are 10 inches deep, operate at under 200 watts, consuming less energy than other LCD models now on the market.

Sounds tempting, but I have had so many issues with my Mitsubishi 1080i DLP, which I have had for 3 years. I go through a lamp a year, and two DOA models were delivered before I got one that worked. I'd be more sold if this new technology was introduced by somebody else.

I'm going to hang onto my current set until it needs a repair that runs as much as a new set.

There has been considerable problems with HD porn movies. Apparently the gist is that HD is too sharp and results in every skin blemish, hair, scar and wart showing up in crystalline clarity and putting off the viewer. See here and here...
