Agreed, that guy was a doofus. Mom and I watched both the Boston Pops and the other one in Washington, DC with preference to the latter because she didn’t care for the Boston Pops this year and wonders, “where did they get that guy to host it?” His name is Ferguson, can’t remember his first name but he comes on after David Letterman on weeknights.

I'll have to respectfully disagree with you FRiend. Although here in Texas I was disappointed that CBS chose to show an abbreviated version of the concert, I though Craig Ferguson did a good job and was a good choice. He has a history of being pro-US, is supportive of the troops (including being involved with Drew Carey’s USO tours), and to me he seemed absolutely giddy about celebrating his first 4th of July as an American.
