But the one that haunted my entire childhood was the also-classic, with young neurotic William Shatner on a plane, seeing the gremlin on the wing.
It’s the scene where the gremlin looks up and sees him, so he snaps down the blind. He’s plastered to his seat in terror for a minute then, unable to resist, slowly reaches out to open the blind... reaches out... and... and....
AAAAAH! I can’t!!
I just signed up for Netflix a couple of weeks ago and was very pleasantly surprised to find they have if not all, then nearly all the MST3K episodes available to rent!
I'm one of the few people I know (makes sense?), that actually was a huge fan of Lost In Space. I loved that show. Used to laugh a lot at it and with it. "Oh...my aching back!" ... "The pain...the pain!" ... "You bumbling bionic birdbrain!"
Yes, it's terrible what's going on today. Even the cartoons are horrible (cheap, not funny at all, and just plain stupid). Hobbies ain't what they used to be (I loved building scale model cars and racing slots). Most of the sitcoms suck. Music, movies, etc, etc.
I want to see three episodes: The one with Robert Redford and the Little Old Lady, The Old Man and Dog Walking Down the Road and Kick The Can./Just Asking - seoul62.......
I know isn’t that great? I was thinking about buying them but they’re expensive....thank god for netflix.
He was in at least one other episode...

They’ve been doing this every year for a long time.
That’s great to hear, but also a little sad because it’s another reminder of just how dreadful and pathetic most of the currently produced dreck they air really is.
I recall the one in which Elly Mae Clampett was the ugly girl. She really was pretty but she was too old to play a teenager. I think in the Beverly Hillbillies she was actually around 30 when it began and was getting pretty old by the time it ended.
Check out his bio on the Sci-Fi Channel website.
Here's an excerpt:
"On the day he graduated from high school, Serling enlisted in the U.S. Army 11th Airborne Division paratroopers, and after basic training (during which time he took up boxing and won 17 out of 18 bouts) he was sent into combat in the Philippines and wounded by shrapnel."

I know. Same thing on New Years with The Honeymooners. I just wanted to alert or remind people it was airing today, July 3rd. (they call it the "4th of July Marathon")
Please refrain from posting TV schedules in the News forum. They belong in chat.
Thanks,
AM
Another episode children might enjoy is where the two youngsters of divorcing parents find a pathway to a sort of utopia never never land while diving in their pool.
Yes, Serling was a Genius.

Just joined the local model rocketry club. Went to a launch a few weeks back. Some of the stuff there was absolutely amazing. They have a clearance up to 11,000 feet from the FFA, with a 15,000 feet available on a one-hour's notice. Will stick with the Estes type stuff for now, but would love to get into the high-powered stuff.
Whoops. FFA should be FAA...
More than just fun, it was a great learning tool. It was about hand and eye coordination, the ability to follow instructions, improvising, etc, etc. But hardly any of the kids today are doing hands-on stuff like this anymore. Everything is computers.
Oh yeah, MST3K showed us all what a truly bad movie is.
One shining/horrific example:
