Oh, you got a new camera!? What kind did you get?
For me, the best way to learn is by trial and error. If I really get stuck, I will reluctantly get out the instruction book, but it just kills me to have to resort to that. Usually, more than half the book is covering things I already know or don't need to know. I am way too impatient and always want to just jump in and start using my new camera, cell phone, whatever. Sorry about your little chipmunk. Yes, those things happen, but it is always so sad to see. Not a good thing to wake up to, for sure.
I know very little about digital cameras.
It is a Canon Power Shot A470. 7.1 mega pixels. 3.4X optical zoom. You will understand all that more than me but so far I have found it easy to use...including the zoom. I was scared to death to use it. My son helped me a bit the day he worked on the computer again recently! He tried to assure me I wouldn’t hurt it. I do use the strap around my wrist though.
I guess those memory cards come in different sizes don’t they? I mean the number of pictures you can take? I think I took 16, including what my son shot the other day. I had a pot of flowers in sight to shoot and it told me my memory card was full. And I said....Oh, shoot! I will learn.
